An Introduction to Begin Well-Being

Begin Well-Being is committed to improving the well-being of all our clients.

 

We develop our clients through personal training, nutrition and health advice and one-to-one coaching.  This is achieved using a holistic approach which addresses our clients' physical, emotional, spiritual and personal development.

So what is coaching?
Myles Downey defines coaching as "The art of facilitating the performance, learning and development of another".
The techniques used by coaches engender a spirit of trust and create a supportive environment in which the client is able to more clearly see the options available to them and select the most appropriate approach to resolve their problems.
However, we believe that a formulaic approach to to individual problem resolution doesn't work so we achieve the best results by applying appropriate techniques from the fields of coaching, training, teaching and consultancy.

Begin Well-Being has successfully helped clients with a range of challenges such as:

Often our clients present to us with one problem only to discover that the underlying originating cause is something quite different.

At Begin Well-Being we deliver more than just effective coaching. We know from experience that some clients need intervention and direct advice.
We provide personal training which is also goal oriented and can be delivered in a gym, local park or even at home.  Our clients are of all ages and present with a range of goals including improved weight management, better body tone, and training for a specific event such as a marathon.  Here the trainer provides direct advice and the motivation that the client often needs to stay on track.
The training is supported by nutritional advice.  Our website provides much free information about how our bodies work, what vitamins and minerals we need to maintain good health and the benefits and negative effects of specific foods.  We also offer exciting menu plans for people who don't wish to count calories.

So how does it work?
We commence with an initial consultation which can be free of charge.  This is an opportunity to the client and coach to get to know each other, assess whether they can have a productive business relationship, share an appreciation of the coaching process and the client's needs, and agree a suitable programme of coaching.
The initial discussion is usually face-to-face whereas the subsequent sessions can be arranged using Skype or telephone, at the client's convenience.
We start each session by setting the goals for the session and reviewing the overall programme goals to ensure that they are still relevant.
Where the coach identifies a need for direct advice rather than coaching, this is deferred to a seperate session.

Underpinning the one-on-one coaching, Begin Well-Being holds a repository of resources and knowledge assets which are available to our clients either free or at reduced rates.
